As we continue to enjoy a busy summer of tennis, we’d like to remind all members to use the drag mats to brush the courts after every session.
Brushing the courts helps to redistribute the loose sand evenly across the surface, preventing it from building up in certain areas while leaving others exposed. This is essential for maintaining a consistent playing surface, protecting the artificial grass fibres and ensuring the courts remain safe and enjoyable for everyone.
With some much-needed rain hopefully on the way, the redistributed sand will bed into the surface, helping to stabilise the courts and improve their performance. Taking just a minute or two to drag the mats after your game makes a real difference to the condition and longevity of our courts.
Please remember:
- Drag the mat over the full playing area after your match or practice.
- Pay particular attention to the baselines and high-wear areas.
- If everyone does their bit, the courts will stay in great condition throughout the season.
Thank you for helping us look after one of the club’s most valuable assets. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated and benefits all members.
