We bid a warm farewell to Sue Miller and her husband as they head off to Devon next week after an incredible 25 years of membership at Hoylake.
Sue’s family has been a wonderful part of our club community. Her children Helen and Matthew both came through the junior ranks, representing the club in junior team tennis, with Matthew going on to play in the adult leagues. Her daughter Helen continues to play when she can.
A composed and confident player, Sue has been a valued presence in the Friday mixed group and has taken on the role of organising a Tuesday afternoon session — no small commitment. She has represented the club in both friendly and league matches throughout her membership.
As a parting gift, Sue has generously donated shrubbery which has been planted at the club entrance — a lasting reminder of her time with us.
We wish Sue and her husband all the very best in Devon, and hope it won’t be too long before we see her back on court!
