USED TENNIS BALL RECYCLING

Dear Members

Once tennis balls have lost their pressure, they are no longer suitable for tennis and are usually thrown away, typically ending up in landfill sites.

HLTC work with Recycaball, a charity to help tennis become greener and more eco-friendly by giving tennis balls a new lease of life!

Recycaball buy our used tennis balls (15p a ball, max 250 tennis balls per sack), repressure them and donate to charities including Save The Children, NSPCC, Police Dogs etc.

We have two used tennis ball recycling units in the clubhouse opposite the kitchen door. Please help our club raise money and help tennis become greener by posting your used tennis balls into the unit.  Before posting, please check your tennis balls will be accepted:

Tennis balls must not be weather damaged, very discoloured, have damaged/frayed nap, or have been worn down to be practically threadbare. Also, tennis balls with inked initials, inked markings, or with a green or red dot will not be accepted.

Tennis balls that are posted into the recycling units that cannot be recycled, are passed to local dog charities.

Further details on Recycaball Ltd and tennis balls they do not want are on the main club house noticeboard.
