It’s with great sadness that we have to inform you that John O’Connell passed away earlier today (Saturday 21st August) in hospital after a hard-fought battle with illness.
John was a long-standing, irreplaceable, tennis-loving member of the club, a much valued former committee member and a gentleman who prided himself on welcoming, encouraging and playing the game with new members. He will be much missed by his many friends at the club. Our thoughts and prayers go out to John’s family and his close friends. A very sad day.
