Last Tuesday HLTC took on Neston in the semi-final of the Wirral Tankard. It was a monumental effort by everyone involved. News came through that two wins out of three at Neston for Hoylake meant we needed just two out of four on our home courts to advance to the final. An hour on and it was all square, three rubbers each with one match still in the balance. A story-book ending saw HLTC come from behind in the final set to win the match with less than a minute to spare before the lights were due to turn off at 9pm! Ensuring that HLTC will advance to the final on Sunday 6th September. A massive thank you to all who came to show their support late into the night and hopefully we’ll have the same great level of support for the final at Port Sunlight tennis club 13.30pm Sunday 6th September.
