Today, Monday 1st June, LTA updated its guidelines for tennis clubs following a slight easing of Government restrictions. The advice now states that doubles may be played IF clubs put controls in place to ensure that it is safe for members, and social distancing guidelines are adhered to.
At the zoom meeting scheduled for 3rd June, the committee will discuss what additional measures need to be in place for doubles to be played in Hoylake.
Court booking has been an essential component of keeping members safe, reducing social gathering, avoiding spreading coronavirus and allowing singles play at HLTC. The committee would like to thank Liz Towersey in particular for taking on the task of organising court bookings. Booking courts is likely to remain a factor when doubles play resumes. Please make sure that you ALWAYS BOOK your court in advance, no matter what time of day or evening you are planning to play.
