An email from LTA to members yesterday stated:
‘Further to the Government’s announcement yesterday (Friday 20 March) that social spaces such as pubs, gyms and leisure centres must close, all tennis clubhouses and similar social facilities should be closed as soon as possible. Courts however can remain open for use to help ensure people remain active, subject to strict social distancing and hygiene practices being employed – we have updated our dedicated coronavirus page providing advice for venues with additional information as to how to approach this.’
HLTC will therefore close our clubhouse to all users from today until further notice. This means that there will be no access to toilets or handwashing facilities. Members holding a clubhouse key are asked to respect this decision and refrain from going into the Clubhouse at all times.
The courts remain available for play but please familiarise yourself with LTA advice on how to comply with social distancing and hygiene guidelines. This may be found at Coronavirus (COVID-19) – Advice for venues | LTA
CLS Coaching are also no longer using the clubhouse but will continue to offer some individual coaching, in compliance with LTA advice for coaches.
