26 Hoylake members (with a very wide age range) have taken up the batten for the team so far this season. Players have had to wait until the three other teams have been completed and this has meant that some were asked late on the day. Despite this, all have stepped up enthusiastically and even changed prearranged meetings to support the team. Squad players have shown great dedication and maximum effort in difficult circumstances to cover the lack of numbers in higher ranked teams.
6 young men and a young lady have taken on the Wirral league (and the older generation) well led by stalwart Alan Longman and our trusty French musketeer Alain Maillet. Regular players have given stability and encouragement to those who are playing for the first time.
Results have been varied with home turf being preferred to away where they have played on variable and often hard surfaces against strong teams. The fourth team currently stand at 7th in the league but are only 4 points behind the sixth team so have every chance of avoiding a play off.
Many thanks to all who have played and kept the team spirit alive. Thanks too to captain Pam, coach Craig and the rankings team for organising players each week.
